Belize Misson Trip Day 5

Today, Thursday, we started off the day with a great breakfast as usual. About half of the team went to Belize city and visited various sites such as an orphanage, the burial grounds (a poor section of Belize city), and a single mothers caring center. The other half of the team continued at the worksite and accomplished a lot. We completed the roof, the walls inside, and the doors. We are close to finishing!

Tomorrow morning we will put the door knobs on the door and dedicate the home to the family. Some of the ladies on our team continued teaching and helping out the principal at the school. The youth on our team put on a puppet show based on the story of Easter, which the kids fully enjoyed. Today was also our last full day of working on the building site. We will complete just a few finishing touches tomorrow and then explore some Mayan ruins in the village along with a jungle/cave tour. Next we will make our way to the island via boat. We are so sad to see our time in the village come to an end, but our hearts are full with new friendships that we will never forget.
